My practice as an illustrator is multidisciplinary with
a strong focus on craft and the tactile handmade
towards problem solving, informing and educating.
I work primarily with textiles, ceramics, drawing and
print, though also make use of digital processes such
as stop motion to present these handmade objects
within different settings. My inspiration largely comes
from the collections of kitsch goods, souvenirs, novelty
ornaments, postcards and photos I have gathered over
the years from visits to Japan. I aim to educate my
audiences through gentle aesthetic to subtly convey
messages, adding humour through its naivety too,
resulting in something unconventional yet memorable.
